The Mandela Day Career Development Festival – Time to Serve
The Mandela Day Career Development Festival is a Ministerial project that have already taken in five provinces. The first was held in 2010 in Giyani, Limpopo, the second in Lusikisiki in 2011, Eastern Cape, the third in Taung in 2012, North West, the fourth in QwaQwa, Free State and the fifth was held in Sebokeng in Gauteng province where over 6000 learners from local communities and surrounding schools and TVET colleges joined us.
The Department of Higher Education and Training will be embarking on a Career Development Festival in KwaZulu-Natal Province, where free information on different careers and higher learning information will be provided to learners.
The Mandela Day Career Development Festival starts tomorrow at the Umfolozi TVET College (Esikhawini Campus) Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The 3 day exhibition will be from Wednesday, 15 July 2015 until Friday, 17 July 2015 (Main celebrations on Saturday, 18 July 2015 at the University of Zululand). On each day learners will be given career information and advice to help them take charge of their careers and plan for their future.
